Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is thinking coming out of retirement to ‘smash’ Jake Paul in the ring.
Jake Paul fought mostly former UFC fighters to carve out a successful boxing career. In his career, he has defeated retired mixed martial artists in half of his victories.
Paul took less than two minutes to knock out Ben Askren in his third professional boxing battle. Tyron Woodley, the former welterweight champion of the UFC, has lost only once to him—by knockout in their rematch. He overcame Nate Diaz, the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5, in a one-sided bout, and Anderson Silva, the former UFC middleweight champion, by unanimous decision.
Paul fights Mike Perry, a current star in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and a former UFC fighter, on Saturday. In the pre-fight press conference, Paul made disparaging remarks about “all MMA fighters.”
Paul declared, “MMA fighters are all pu**ies.” “MMA fighters are all f***ing pu**ys who can’t box for s***.” Paul’s remarks “annoyed” former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, who had thought about coming out of retirement to take on “The Problem Child.”
On his YouTube channel, Bisping replied, “Jesus Christ, you know what I mean, ‘All MMA fighters are pu**ies and we can’t box for s,’ I mean that’s really annoyed me.” That almost makes me want to slam this guy’s fing face in and come out of retirement.
Following Paul’s remarks, Bisping threw his support behind Mike Perry, believing that “Platinum” would defeat the influencer-turned-boxer at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
“Hopefully, Mike Perry succeeds. “There are a ton of amazing boxers in the mixed martial arts community that could really take this guy’s ass,” stated Bisping. “Jake Paul, please, I hope you are knocked out on Saturday night. I’ve never wanted someone to win a bout so much in my life.
“Despite being smaller, Mike Perry is more fierce and combative, and he has a decent chance of winning this fight. Jake Paul is a gorgeous lad who tries to look like a badass, but he’s false, an imposter, Bisping went on.
